The novel has many events which aren't here in this adaptation for good ig. I was in tears near the end. I understand Lu Feng's hatred but he did go too far with the abuses. The thing that shattered me was Wen yang (YC's kid) was intentionally or unintentionally made to watch father being r@ped by lu Feng.

Yes I feel that too. Many events in the novel have been curtailed. But I'm very happy of the fact they didn't include Yi Chen's son Wen Yang who's completely innocent but had to witness the dire state of his father being r@ped ðŸ˜by Lu Feng and later being accidentally shot by his mother.

In the novel it was 20 years. His mother died first (before his marriage) . Lu feng left for US, his brother and Qin Lang went to japan for treatment. Then, he married Zhou lan. One year later he had a son Wen Yan. 9 years later they divorced. And it took 10 years to again meet Lu Feng via Ke Luo.
