ep28 that interaction between madam yu and tingyun gotta be one of my favorite moments in the whole show. there was so much happening in there. despite (and in some ways, because of) being half her age tingyun can now see what matters to her more than the veterans chasing grand milestones who have long forgotten what it meant to be a human. i'd love to have seen madam yu when she was tingyuns age. how different would her life be if she too had to move away from her origins and see the world for what it was. tingyuns betrayal from her family back in ep4 might have been the greatest blessing in her life.
