Yeah maybe because he is the older brother (more authority? 🤷‍♂️) and like P’Sri also said that Kaew is not acting like the old Kaew and as Yam already said Dech and Kaew never really get along, but for Kaew and the older brother we haven’t seen or know anything about their relationship growing up so we really have to wait lol

I don’t think one has to be an expert to fry durian and make grilled catfish, he is simply salvaging the unripe durian and introducing foods that he grew up with in the modern times ( they followed what’s in the straight ver.) The “overblown reactions” I think we kind of know that the purpose of that scene was to be funny, they were introduced to a dish that they are not familiar with and they ended up loving it. (I saw some comments here not liking it, I guess that’s based on what kind humor the viewer likes, but for me I liked it)

That’s because they’re edited and acted in a lakorn style, you will notice they are more expressive that the usual bls

I will say yes, Ketsurang’s character introduced and cooked modern foods too in the Straight ver.
But in this series it’s more on the comedic side.
Cooking is actually kind of a highlight of this story

Yeah it’s so underrated😔 the main couple are new pairing and the production is not a well known company (but it’s better quality than most) so I think those are some factors.
From what I see on the Thai side, since the announcement of the most famous lakorn in their country be adapted to bl, some don’t like it since “MLM doesn’t make sense at that era” or “the original was good already, why need to make it gay?” (Honestly disappointing, coming from Thailand who we know is the most open to supporting lgbtq)

But on the other hand, I also see some positive responses from them like “I thought that it would be bad, but It’s actually fun” (I’ll count this as positive already lol) but I don’t know why were they expecting it to be bad when the director of the original and this version is literally the same person.

I’m not generalizing that all thai people don’t like it, because there are definitely those who support this adaptation whole heartedly.

That being said I hope that this series would get a better recognition and better promotion too, because it definitely deserves better ratings than what it has now🫶

Plus, it became the 7th most watched BL of 2026 (thai tv ratings) when Ep1 aired

But what’s exciting here is that even if you have watched the original they are not exactly the same so when watching, it becomes unpredictable to me. Tho they kept the iconic parts and the vibe/core💯

Same, I really don’t rely on the ratings here (I think it mainly depends on how big and famous the main couple is, famous=high ratings🤷‍♂️) but it’s really frustrating to see others clearly sabotaging this one, when honestly it deserves a really high rating, the quality and all deserves so much more than that 7.8😖

I was not expecting this episode to be this funny. Although the last scene on Ep1 suggested a serious tone, it was short lived but I am not complaining because the 💩 scene made my day, it was so hilarious😂 but not cringe which I like.
I wonder what more will we see with Rueang and the other characters that has not been introduced yet.

Props to the director and editing because they didn’t fail to make me crave for Ep3, with that grand entrance of Si prat and the way he looked at Kaew👀

How is that fat shaming? but honestly while watching that scene I just know that someone would definitely make that an issue and I’m not wrong 😑.

He is a doctor so he will definitely let everyone around him know what is better for their health (ex: the mosquito nets and the stuck water where mosquitoes could grow, we know how bad malaria was. The same goes to heart attack which is caused by too much fat, which is why he said what he said.)

10 eps really affected the story telling if we compare it to the OG, but it totally makes sense that Dech already realizes that Kaew is not the same Kaew anymore, because from the moment Great’s soul came into Kaews body he’s been telling everyone that he is not Kaew and that he is Great. Dech cannot ignore the fact that Kaew changed completely just after that spell so he thinks that he is possessed lol

He is still a son of a high lord as the mention on ep1, maybe not as high ranking as Karakede’s father but he is still a nobleman. Maybe they’ll give this character a different backstory, in ep2 Yam told Great some reason why Dech hates Keaw, he said that Dech excelled on a lot of things and Kaew kinda feels inferior to him.

And I think the relative part is kind of important in a sense that, that is the reason why Kaew went into their custody (because his parent is a distant relative of Dech’s mother). Unlike Karakede who was in a arranged marriage, that cannot be applied here because the mc is male.

We saw how bad Karakede was through flashbacks mostly, In this series they haven’t shown any flashbacks yet so let’s wait and see😁

Ep1
That was a great and strong episode, they made it intense and interesting that it makes you crave the ep2 after finishing the ep1, that was the fastest 52 mins of my life lol.

Kaew was bad but at the same time they really make you want to understand his character (especially if you watched ep2). I think that's their way of hooking the viewers to keep watching and see his back story too.

This only has 10eps so comparing it to the OG is kind of not gonna work in terms of the story pacing since that has 15eps with 1hr 50+ mins duration if I remember. Here they kept the main parts. Honestly it's so enjoying to see the difference of both dramas, the parts they adjusted to fit the male mc.

When you thought that you already know what's gonna happen then boom suprise! Haha I really love it

I thought I would be satisfied by just reading feedbacks of the show here after watching each episodes. Now it seems like others are just sabotaging the ratings, I kind of observed that since I like to read other people's thoughts on this series here. And that's what pushed me to create this mdl acc lol. I feel like this is not getting the hype and respect it deserves😒

So if ever someone gets to read this and is contemplating if he/she should give this show a try, go ahead watch it because with the 2eps released as of now, I would say that it's very good so far👌 enjoy!!
