This is definitely author decision so he could create open ending . logically , ml must protect the fl by sending so many guards to prevent her but he’s not . The author really did a great job for making us desperate . There are many possible ending . Either fl got executed or she uses infinity heat to kill wufeng or she becomes double agent for wufeng since they held her sister as hostage or she is someone who is a high rank in wufeng from the start .
