No, he saw the FL the first time at her god mother’s party and he likes her at first sight. Then another girl supposedly her dad’s god daughter likes him and invited him to view cherry blossom. He thought it was the FL who invited him. So, he drove there after he’d finished a long hours of surgery, and that’s when he had the accident. After the accident he can’t be a surgeon anymore because he can’t hold a scalpel like before.
