Jackson Yi is spectacular in Better Days! Hope that his film will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival. He deserves some international recognition.
You can see glimpses of greatness in the Longest Day of Chang'an when he held his own against a veteran actor.
Have you compared him to all the other actors on the list and their respective works?
We shall see how he does in Immortality! Maybe he was off in LoA.
Most actors do their own stunts nowadays. Some even dub themselves base on what they take in their universities. The actors in costumed dramas shoot in harsh conditions in the middle of Summer with 5 layers of clothing on. So to me, this is normal. All of this come from behind-the-scenes interviews of multiple actors on a variety of dramas.
So far I have seen the works of Wang YiBo ( Love Actually, Untamed, Gank Your Heart, Day Day Up and other variety…
You may want to got check out the comments for AC’s acting in the Legend of Awakening page on my drama list. I was very impressed with Song Wei Long’s acting in Story of Minglan. He was memorable in a supporting role.

I only watched The Untamed 10x so I know that Wang Yibo improved a lot from the beginning of the the drama until the end. As a dancer and rapper, he accomplished a lot. His fight scenes are magical because of the way that holds his body while executing the moves. Song Weilong is very natural in his dramas costumed or modern. Hopefully, Arthur Chen is not on this list because both of his parents are part of the industry and got him roles.
He wanted to expand his acting portfolio by taking some risks. Hopefully, his next project will be better.
I do not mean the BL genre is a risk. The actors in both dramas can act with their eyes and slight expressions without saying a word. AC has been inconsistent in this drama even with a script. Taking on a BL drama and trying to pass censorship with good acting may be a reach for AC. Maybe he can prove me wrong because he can learn from Leo Luo, an exceptional actor from AOL.
After watching Arthur Chen/Chen Fei Yu in Legend of Awakening, I am not sure why he is on this list. His acting was inconsistent throughout the series. Hopefully, he can prove me wrong in Immortality with Leo Luo.
I put off watching this drama for almost a year and ended up watching this and the spinoff movies almost 10 times. That does not include watching the concerts, interviews, and the behind the scenes. I may go back to watch it again when I am bored and there is nothing else out there that is good enough to watch.
