The best part of this one was definitely seeing Grandma Oon suffer a bit for her actions after having watched all 5 Kun Chai series and seeing how she made all the FLs suffer and being looked down on by her, it was satisfying to see her shedding some tears especially since she always talked about status and seeing her in that "low/dirty" jail was definitely pleasing to the eyes
After reading Jin Bao and Que Si Ming's book, I wish they kept Que Si Ming's mask, a masked man is always something else😍, like the ML in dramas like Love of Nirvana, Lost You Forever (Xiang Liu), love you seven times, etc ❤
Back when it was airing I watched through tiktok and just finally got to watch it properly and it was pretty good
I already knew how it was going to end but it was still a better to actually watch it to get all the context than through short tiktoks, and let me just say that before watching I had the wrong idea about Ming and Joe, I thought they were in a contract relationship since the beginning, I thought joe knew that ming liked tong and that he was his stand-in, then the accident had happened and when he saw the new joe 2 years later he was once again bind by a contract with ming (I had seen spoilers about them being in a contract with new Joe) so it was very surprising to see that they were actually in a relationship even tho Joe was in the dark about Ming's feelings for Tong, to the point that Joe was very happy with Ming and even wanted to go into debt to get a loan to move to a bigger place with Ming. What surprised me more was realizing that Ming already liked Joe but seemed to have had some mixed feelings for tong, like when they were having dinner celebrating Christmas and gifting each other gifts until ming saw tong and his sis arrive which completely ruined the mood, I thought Ming was pretending to be kind and interested in Joe, just to sleep with him while thinking of tong, I thought he didn't like the watch or living with Joe in his house since he was rich and since he hit Joe with a baseball bat and chained him up that he was doing it for Tong. It was interesting to see that I was wrong and see the actual story unfold since I was a little skeptical about starting this show. Lastly, why did Tong had to have a happy ending I feel it was unnecessary, I had hoped that Ming's sister was going to divorce him and find someone better but oh well...
