Title Star of Ocean Spoiler
Have watched until ep. 29 & it's so messy.πŸ˜…πŸ˜ It also feel repetitive with the way they try to pit everyone against Jian Ai. And somehow magically 2 of the 3 snakes on her tail have repented.πŸ˜‚ They have now sort of become Jian Ai's ally.

I'd never get second female leads who lie dormant and then boom all a sudden they want the male lead.πŸ™„

Male lead started out charming but is reduced to bein' a Mama's boy and a walking red flag. It's a lot like "Young & Beautiful 2.0" only the female lead (Jian Ai) actually has a spine. She corrects her mistakes on the spot. She doesn't stay quiet or docile like in YAB. Li Yi Ming is a clown but geez have some dignity Jian Ai already rejected him multiple times & yet he pines for her. Oh boy.πŸ˜’πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Can't believe there's 11 more ep. of this ha-ha. Am still watching because of cast. The chemistry between Liu Tao/ Raymond is decent.

Haven’t read jane eyre, but have read wise sargasso sea and know rough plot or eyre, and tho technically not…
Haven't read "Wide Sargasso Sea". Thank goodness for internet though.πŸ˜‚ Manage to glance through synopsis; story is tragic.😭 It's sad what happened to her.. Rochester is painted as a man who tries to do good to his wife (at least by Bronte) Jane left for that reason she won't become his second wife but his one and only . I didn't read Bronte but watched the drama adaptation which is just as good.😁

Title Fall in Love
Gettin' distinct "Cruel Romance" & "Siege in Fog" vibes off of this. Ml is dashing & oh my lord so beautiful... πŸ’•πŸ˜˜

It's sorta like Thai lakorn with ml not knowing his boundaries & acting controlling, possessive etc. I wished they styled the sml's hair differently? Other than that, it's watchable. πŸ™ƒ

This is shaping up to be like Jane Eyre. Hopefully Mr. Rochester/Heng Zhi won't end up blind as in Bronte's book.

It's so tropey & sickening how the wealthy are playin' or using their kids as chess pieces to advance in busines$ & status.

Thanks for the infoβ€”I’ve been trying to piece the pieces together and this is really helpful! One question,…
Oh boyπŸ˜… if I remember correctly, back in 90s M'sia the Malay Muslims here were more liberal & not seen wearing hijabs or head coverings as much as they do now. Although they do have choice not to.

Ah no wonder🀣 this drama is set in 90sπŸ€ͺ That explains the huge desktop computer monitors! Or the pagers!πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

Really? Guess not same as in Indonesia in the 90s? We hired locals for drivers, gardener and maids. We had stop…
The Malay Muslims in Malaysia rarely do housekeeping. I mean there are but rarely. If they did, they work only for Malay Muslims. As the religion has very strict rules. I remember ever seeing foreign workers in non Malay Muslim family households. Also locals find housekeeping as a low paying job and sort of demoralizing.

Another thing in this drama, they show all Malaysians speak Mandarin/Chinese and that's not entirely true either. Malays can speak the language if they attended Chinese schools. As for the Chinese, most (the wealthy only) can't as they study abroad or attend Malay schools so they speak English, Malay more.

Boy the production team weren't even subtle at hinting that "Country M" was indeed Malaysia.😝 They didn't represent Malaysia well either. Muslims here don't do housekeeping for non Muslims. We usually hire foreign domestic helpers for that.

We're a moderate multi racial country with diverse cultures. In this drama they showed all women in hijabs.πŸ™„ I'm surprised they didn't style them in burqas.πŸ˜’ That's about the only gripe I have.

6 ep. have been subbed so far but something about the look feels Idk - dated LoL? Like it reminds me one of those classic TVB dramas of the past. It's still watchable though.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

The plot look somewhat similar to "Young and Beautiful". Both fls sport pigtails and check shirts or somethin' similar. Difference is the fl here is a better actress than the one from YAB.

I am enjoying this so far. Fl is tough, smart, resourceful and not at all a pushover or doormat. Raymond Lam is a seasoned TVB HK drama actor.

Btw I hate her aunt and male cousin!! I bet those two will create much havoc for the fl much later.

Judging from title alone one can tell this is goin' to be a melodrama.πŸ€ͺπŸ˜‚πŸ˜ I do agree with other comments here that the casting for the mom/son characters are too close in age. He looks more like her husband in some scenes.😬

I'm gettin' "The Joy Luck Club" vibes from this also. Watched 2 ep. only so far, it is ok. Just need a lot of patience.☺️

Watched this for the hype and I'm one of those FOMO as well so.🀷🏻😝 I notice this on most k-dramas in Netflix that they try to overcompensate by saturating it with English speakers especially or the inclusion of foreigners. It just comes off try-hard.

The same can be said of the academy award winning Parasite. Plotwise Squid Games offer nothing new. I was impressed by the rookie actress who played Sae Byeok. She was the most memorable out of this.

This started off promisingly for first 3-4 ep. and for some reason it just kind of veered off into a lot of dull moments after. They tried hard in getting viewers to empathize with these characters which came across heavy handed at times. It's an ok watch although the gore yikes.πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‘ The segment with the vips were annoying to say the least.

This feels very "Netflix-y" and it only has 8 ep. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜Ž
I like how uniquely refreshing the plot is and the fl is a breath of fresh air. Leon look cute with his messy hair.🀣

Fl's too cute, she literally has deer-like eyes. Btw she & the sml are from Yang Mi's agency which has Dilraba. And Dilraba cross dressed as a man in "The Long Ballad", while the fl here also started off as a dude. LoL interesting coincidence.

The way the ml's fam tried to matchmake the 2 of 'em😝🀣

Sun Yi's "Be Together" was a freaking disaster😝 so much so that I'm skeptical on this.

The only drama I've truly enjoyed her in was with Deng Lun "Because of Meeting You".

Will put this on hold for now.

I am confused after episode 37. I understand that XM kept the land because its price will obviously be going up.…
Which is why I can't hate the guy🀣 He knows how to play the "game". You can clearly see how conflicted he is by the way he keep chatting to his smart home asst. Xiao Du. Who's HM btw may I ask? Did you mean Helen?

Easily the BEST C-Drama of the year. So glad I decided to continue watchin' despite dropping this initially. Am on 34 ep. & with just 6 ep. left I'm excited to see how it works out for Su Xiao.
The constant attacks on Su Xiao's gender I tell ya never dies down as ep. go🀣😝 when it's the men who act like overgrown childrenπŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„
I'm on the fence with Xia Ming & Pres. Zhou but there's no denying they're both very charismatic & look amazing in preppy looks. Very chic I might add. In particular the actor who plays the pres. Very sexyπŸ˜‰πŸ˜
Xia Ming is very cunning while Su Xiao's on the high ground. She's black & white, while he's very grey. It's interesting to see how these 2 play off of one another & the way they navigate the corporate world.
Helen is such a whiny crybaby.πŸ˜’ Is Mark the pres. asst. doin' anythin' aside from brooding & sayin' pick up lines with the ladies? πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ He's just eye candy😝 though I like how he's on Su Xiao's side.

Can you tell me what is the title of Mark's other office/business politics drama ?
"The Ordinary Glory" a Chinese Drama version of the original K-Drama, "Misaeng". If you enjoy those kinds of dramas, the currently airing "On the Verge of Insanity" is a very good one. I highly recommend it!

Watched this from ep. 06 - 11. Yup I skipped the first 5 as I dropped this initially.😝 It was boring but I decided to give it a go as I really enjoy most of Betty Sun's work.😁

She sure knows how to pick projects & constantly plays female protagonists that're layered, strong. She also is not your typical beauty as say Yang Mi, Angelababy, Dilireba etc. So that makes her characters relatable.

Mark's done a drama similar to a office/corporate environment before. I like his chemistry with Betty so far. Watchin' this mostly for them tbh.

Damn this dude moves fast like 5G speed yo.🀣 He not only managed to coerce the woman into living with him but by end of ep. 02 he got her crazy in lust over him as well. 🀣😝

I do appreciate she's got reservations; as she should. He rub me the wrong way though. He changed afterward although he's constantly pushing the woman's boundaries.
