Because Wu Bi and Gu hai both lied that they lived in that area from childhood but Su Ye and Bai both actually grew up in that area and knew people around the area so if somehow they met the neighbours they will know Wu Bi/ Gu are not actually from that area and recently moved in. Tbh Wu Bi’s one makes more sense because he lied he lives with his father and who is also friends with Suye’s father 😅

I think maybe because there will be a big time jump..just like the novel if I remember correctly…. So if they follow 2021 ( when this series was filmed )the time jump will lead them to 2030ish ( i dont rem exact time jump number) ig thats is why they decided to start the series very early 2010ish?

Also low income people in my country still uses stuffs from very early 2000’s so for Su Ye and his friends is normal to have backdated and cheap electronics but for Wu Bi 😅 he is rich he should have a little bit more expensive stuffs but oh well😅

For real! The scenes we saw in these two episodes if people still insist this is a bromance well… it’s useless to give them any attention cuz we all know all they want to see is soft porn 💀

For real now I think this should have been 30+ long ep with1 hour duration! The episodes are so entertaining and enjoyable that it feels like in a blink the ep ended! I am already dreading it will end too soon 🥲

This remake has no right to be this good!!I am enjoying this so much! People really watch it regardless what it will turn out to be bl or bromance!! This is a good show with characters well written and detailed. Even Su Ye’s mom don’t feel one dimensional character. We get to peek at everyone’s life and their inner turmoils.

That ep 6 end scene made me laugh so much! This Wu Bi is really so mischievous and so desperate for Su Ye!

Also Wu Bi is the first person in the world who got happy becoming poor over night just because now he is at same level of poor as his boy 😂🤣

I can’t wait for tomorrow’s episodes🥰

Here Wu Bi aka Gu hai is not a son of military person but a businessman . One of the reason why addicted got banner is because you can’t showcase govt people in negative or immoral light and according to Chinese govt homosexuality is abnormal and immoral💀 so understandable why this version Gu Hai is not buff and dress like any Chinese rich kid. Upto ep 4 everything is smooth sailing and very much enjoyable and true to the og novel
