I think FL hears lie when people believe they are lying. If someone believes that he has killed someone and blames himself for that, she will register it as lie if he tells her he didn't kill that person.

Simple it was Female lead story bit drama is male lead story and they needed to change her character if they were going to make male lead so sympathetic.

Love does not mean he will go against his family without any prove. It was just her word without any prove. His sense of justice is right. It is just you know that 80k were killed and you feel his character should also feel the same.
