I see where the hate towards King is coming from, I do... but I constantly catch myself wishing that there was some "enemies-to-lovers" story between King and Singha... Honestly, the build-up and setting are perfect, and the past complications could be cleared as a misunderstanding. I want their dynamic (as of episode 2) to be made into its own BL.
Imagine it: Two former partners(?), X and Z, are separated by a misunderstanding involving a case. Years later, they are reunited by a new, high-stakes case that forces them to work together. Their methods and approaches to the case differ significantly, causing tension. Z still holds a grudge after all those years, while X tries to find a way to clear the misunderstanding and reunite with his partner. Along the way, X's longing for Z shifts from a simple desire to return to how things were to something deeper. After an incident in which X risks his life to save Z, they finally have the conversation that clears up all misunderstandings. It's a slow-burn romance, with high stakes and the fear of crossing the line.

Also, I can already tell that I will have an unhealthy obsession with Inspector King, that man is fine!!! I hope he doesn't turn out to be a bad guy... not because that's stopped me before🤭
