Damn that was a fine slowburn! I feel like the kids I’ve been watching grow up are now of age 🙈Btw, is KFC…
Seeing KFC product placement makes a change from seeing that “refreshing beverage” with the yellow and green label which always makes an appearance in almost every GMMTv BLs.
I’ve watched numerous BLs over the years and yet this series managed to trick me into believing it was acute, fluffy show with little or no plot, I almost didn’t watch it. I am glad I changed my mind because it this series is so much more than fluff and I adore this series.
The subtle changes in Qin’s behaviour that shows he’s falling for Duang. The way Qin looks at Duang whilst trying to hide his smile. Duang’s easy going sunshine personality combined with his loyalty and dedication to those people that he cares about. The change in Duang’s voice when he’s having serious conversations.
Dr Freeze is meant to be the good guy who will eventually be dumped because Toh’s heart belongs to Jimmy but the Dr has the vibe of someone who would break into a house to watch the person he has feelings for sleep.
I know this is likely to be an unpopular opinion but having watched a number JoongDunk series, I think they would be better suited friends who have a strong bond of friendship, the kind of friends who love one another but aren’t in love with one another.
I have noticed that their acting dynamics are weakest whenever they act together in romantic, NC scenes or scenes that require sexual tension. I get the impression from watching Dunk on screen that he is overthinking and possibly preparing for the next scene instead of focusing on the one he’s in and removing NC & kiss scenes from his character’s story may help his to focus.
Anyway, I know that many will disagree and that’s absolutely fine.
I completely adore this series so far and it’s one of my favourite current ongoing series. There is the right mix of scamming, sweet moments and moments that make me smile. JuniorMark and OhnPoon are a brilliant combination.
Than is a more forgiving person than I could ever be.
Forgiving & forgetting in a space of five minutes wouldn’t be an option I’d consider and marriage would be the furthest thing from my mind if the person I loved left without explanation, reappeared later in life & refused to engage in any conversations about why they left and I later discovered they believed every negative comment made about me and never trusted me.
I decided to drop the show after ep 8 (when Akin and Than FINALLY made up and cleared the air, but they then killed…
In my opinion, the series never improves. Akin’s decision to leave Than without explaining why and believing that Than cheated without giving him the opportunity to defend himself is never truly addressed Akin never acknowledges the pain he caused the one person who loves him the most and Than never holds him accountable for his actions.
I am planning to watch My Romance Scammer. I think MarkJunior work well together and I’m interested to see the new pairing -OhmPoon in their first series.
I’ve decided that episode 8 is the final episode. Those responsible for creating the plot of this series need to take time to reflect on the quality of the story and their plot choices.
Don’s death was unexpected and clearly used to enforce the idea that life is short, tell those you love how you feel before it’s too late. If the writers of this show really believed that to be true then they wouldn’t have wasted our time with numerous episodes of Akin refusing to tell Than why he left. Also, this series should have been five episodes not ten.
Akin has to be one of the most infuriating characters ever in the history of BL. Than having little or no reaction to Akin’s ridiculous behaviour was another example of lazy writing. Instead of Akin having to make amends for his actions, the plot has shifted the focus to Mawin’s mother.
I hope that Toh’s innocence hides a deeper vengeful core. Toh might be in love with Jimmy but I hope that the fact that Jimmy has broken his heart ignites Toh’s burning need for vengeance.

The contrast between Duang’s family and Qin’s.
The final moments in the most recent episodes.
I cannot wait till next Saturday.

There’s a risk that Saensee may run away and never come back if Jimmy doesn’t stop making Saensee a part of his relationship drama.

Than should have left, he deserved better.
I won’t watch this week’s episode until I’ve read the comments on this page.
