I'm curious why Novoland: Pearl Eclipse seems to have a different storyline from Chasing Dreams.
In Novoland: Pearl Eclipse, Ti Lan eventually ends up with the emperor and doesn't appear to have romantic feelings for General Tang Qianzi. But from what I've seen of Chasing Dreams, it looks like Ti Lan actually has a romance with the general.
I haven't read the original novel, so I'm wondering which adaptation is closer to the source material. Did Chasing Dreams change the story significantly, or was Pearl Eclipse the one that diverged from the novel?
I’m still new to this kind of genre in C-dramas, but this has been such a great introduction. I really love how they handled each case, and I appreciate how different it feels from the legal dramas I usually watch from Korea. I need a season 2.
Why do I feel like Nie Yu Cheng is infertile and ZhenZhen's child is not his.... NYC and XMY have been married for a decade and still childless and now ZhenZhen is pregnant just like that.... It's sus
I feel like this could’ve been a great C-drama, but the editing really drags it down. Too many unnecessary scenes and overly stretched conversations make parts of it feel tedious and a bit boring. I actually started this back in 2023 and dropped it after the second episode, but I decided to give it another shot because I wanted to see the dynamics between Tian Jian Rui, Lu Yu Xiao, and Cheng Lei.
I’m just happy this novel is finally getting adapted after so many years. While I really love the cast of Princess Agents, it does feel like Rebirth has a bigger budget this time ... especially with the VFX being a bit more polished. We can’t have everything, but at least they made the effort. I just hope they don't deviate much from the novel.
In the novel there are negotiations to marry prince Li Ce who will become emperor after the death of his father…
Thank you so much, I think I remember that part about the marriage!!!! Dang my poor memory is failing me... I guess it's time to reread and enjoy it all over again.
