Gina loves Khing and just wants her to be happy and she thinks Kla is the perfect person since Khing already had a crush. But she fails to see that all of plotting and scheming is not what Khing wants and that Kla hates peolpe like this the most. Gina's love for Khing is kinda twisted.

To move the plot along. lol, but really I think they're here to show us that some people can't move on from the delusion.

We're so used to miscommunication, manipulation, and over the top jealousy and this show subverts that like crazy positive way. I also like what it's doing with Af, Khing and Gina being high-key delulu. Even though Af came around (still kinda sus), Gina and King are still going strong. Another subversion I would never have expected, because in a lot of BLs the love rivals reluctantly accept that they are not the one.

I'm enjoying it too. I thought 5 episode were kinda short, but actually like the uncut version with their over a hour episodes.

Agreed! A special episode where they reminisce about how awkward their first real date was, or on the anniversary of Great's brother and Tyme's grandma's death it shows how they went about dealing the funeral and their sadness and hatred for what happened. Or shows how Tyme deals with Great court case and the affect it had on their relationship and how they persevered through it all.

I think because of the relationship in their mind, once they wake up they meet and actually start having a real non-toxic relationship, but this all happens off screen.
I have a theory that only Tyme actually made it out of the alternate timeline and the event we see at the end of ep 8 is all in Great's mind. He's forever stuck there. Den and the other first responders were able to resuscitate Tyme, but for Great his resuscitation ends up with him flatlining! Unless they were able to get him back off screen and then my theory goes out the window. Ugh this series needed an extra 2 episode to flesh out the real timeline a little more. At the very least a scene to show both Tyme and Great working through getting shot, losing someone they love and the start of them actually becoming a couple.

Idk either. Maybe after a few rewatches people will start to see the toxicity, but for now we'll be the few among the many.

And I still enjoyed it so much more than this drama. Bad cgi and cop portrayal isn't an issue. I leaned into after a while because the rest of the story was overall good and a nice change of BL environment.

A kindred spirit. Most people I see writing about these characters say they're nice couple or cute together but I think it's mostly the Bible and Jes shippers, because like you said it's a shitty toxic relationship.

I've been saying that as much as I loved the cute scenes of Great and Tyme together, they were in the alternate timelines. The real timeline is sex, illegal recording, and blackmail. Nothing romantic here. I would have loved to see how Great and Tyme work on turning their toxic "relationship" into a real one.

Yes! That's what I thought too. Korn really didn't have anything left (except for Great, but he wouldn't and couldn't have known he was alive).

Or maybe Great's really dead cuz he flatlined and we don't really see another attempt at resuscitation after they take the air pump off him. We just see that everything is ok.

They really needed to make this 10 eps. Cuz we really did speedrun the ending.

I agree they wanted to show a flawed relationship, but "his relationship with korn was always good until few days before" isn't accurate. Tonkla wasn't 100% happy with either relationship, but the pros outweighed the cons, until Dome's death. Then Tonkla kinda saw he wasn't in the relationship that was truly promised and that would never change. Am I making sense? I'm writing this on fumes alone.

I actually like what this couple represents. Reality. In college Tonkla and Korn are cute together. The typical bl couples equipped with "once I graduate I'll tell my parents about us" moment. At that point we already know that Korn telling his parent didn't happen, because HIS reality was already set in motion from day one. He can never and will never go against his father and that takes a major toll on the relationship in the long run. And even though Korn cheats and forget about him, Tonkla is all he has left. His parents have left, his "fiancée" doesn't want him (rightfully so) and his brother shot and in critcal condition, but he can't go to him because of all the bs his family has gotten themselves into. Ugh I'm taking to long (Sorry about that).

I think we're suppose to kinda fill the banks ourselves about their relationship and how it's a little more grounded in reality, but we didn't have enough time for their ending to feel like a tear-jerker.

And OMG didn't even notice the similarity to UWMA. Best comparison ever. Had me feeling sad about that Korn's death than this drama ever could. @Ana you should watch it.
