I've read somewhere before, that I think that know Japanese, Kikuno was the girl who Hayame saved when she was bullied in the school and then Hayame saved her . It was also in the ep8 recap I think. And then when I was searching for this manga in japanese word, it already had more chapters and I can't understand Japanese but, it showed Kikuno there. While in English manga it only had 36 chapters which Kikuno was first introduced, different from what was shown in the live action she was introduced from the beginning.
