I don't think they should omit sweet scenes between Yul and Naksu just so ppl wouldn't get SML syndrome. They want to make ppl feel for the guy. That's because Yul was the puppy love. First love stories have strong appeal. Naksu was Uk's 8th love 😂 she's a tsundere and he is a straightforward guy. They're not cheesy like the usual k-drama lead couple. They are both too rational and are not afraid to call each other on their bs. That kind of tough love is not as popular as sweet/melodramatic romance. Yul had his closure, he said he'll heal this time. Naksu loves Uk and that won't change unless she loses her memories.
