Just finished watching the 6 episodes and omg yall it's amazing. it could very well compete for top spot on my fave list this year.
I hate Yan Lin though. knowing what he did in first life. I rolled my eyes when FL was saying how too good he is to her. Like wtf.

FIRST EPISODE IS GREAT YALL. both leads are slaying. FL's personality is highly intelligent just what I like. ML is still a mystery. a scary mystery that is.
the ML has such an ominous presence here you can physically feel it.

exactly. ultimately it doesn't matter it's fictional story in both cases whether it's a novel within a cdrama or just a cdrama . I am feeling better after seeing the first episode. it's very good. that scene with Bai lu the writer don't seem important to the story..
going back to watch the rest.

I'm at the 6th min mark all excited and it's like a modern girl writing a novel again . Not what I had in mind. I don't think I would enjoy investing 30 plus episodes in a story where at the end she'll go back to reality and none of it would have been real. difficult to see a happy ending as well. I just hope the main character from the story is a different entity from the writer and we don't hear from the writer ever again and this is just a way to bypass censorship.
From trailer i thought that it was strictly going to be a dream or like a premonition instead.
I'll continue the first episodes because the quality is there. But not quite as sure about this now...

This is getting even better. today's episodes are great. I am very particular about my FLs and MLs (I hate whiney FLs and toxic MLs) .
Here I just love leads chemistry. They are so spunky . Highly intelligent but also have quite the heart.
I also found myself engrossed in all the politics stuff too because they are quite centered around the leads.
in 2 words: VERY ENTERTAINING.

I dropped snow eagle lord from the very first episodes. this one is grabbing me. both leads are promising

I rarely enjoyed romance centered moderns. Especially office setting / business jargon ones.
And yeah I prefer historicals by faaar.
I watched maybe half of the historicals this year. there were some pretty good ones too . ✌️
enjoyed the first 4 episodes of this one as well. I love smart leads.😭😭

I loved both ML and FL in these first 4 episodes. well matched. hope they stay sharp till the end

The investigations are very engaging. no one is stupid. villains are actually scary especially that Zhao An. I find myself very intrested in all the spy work.
things I dont like:
- ML seems to know the FL's identity while she is seemingly still oblivious. it makes the narrative uneven
- I want them to team up already.
- The propaganda

I hate that trope the most. and as I'm reading the comments about the incense it seems quite likely too. so I will stop watching for now despite this being very good and decide once the ending has aired.

still that's someone who took an arrow for him. no matter her wrongdoings. so I don't sympathize with him. I hope we see the divorce in the next episodes and not to wait till the end.
