Hmm what an interesting conversation here. This is even more engaging than some dramas. I myself got hooked on cdramas and kdramas because of their content specially in terms of romance where characters can love each other without being nudity. I must say cdramas troupe keeps changing or let's me say have changed I don't know if producers are trying to accommodate new or mostly young generation. You can see from the pas dramas that theres change however I think sometimes these producers take viewers for granted. I understand the competition is though otherwise an actor wouldn't need to have a lot of dramas in a year, take example of FEUD if producers haven't acknowledged that they did a number on the script then I don't know what to say. As a viewer I understand that sometimes acting can sometimes be not on standard but atleast writers must try to topnotch their story. Yoo I think I've been out of topic. This female too intelligent troupe is sometimes tiring. There's also that ML can't fight because of a certain poison or if he fights he either dues or becomes a vegetable sort of. Zhao lying drama with Wang yibo is one example or theTBOY, though he wasn't poisoned but he couldn't fight anymore. We got the amnesia troupe, the swap bodies, the misunderstandings, the naive FL, the powerless king/ god ( the last immortal) is an example. It don't matter which troupe it is as long as the writing is balanced it becomes a good story. We now even have son/daughter of the same age group.
Came here to watch with a hope for a good drama but the first half if ep 1 is like a reincarnation of episode one of our glamorous time just with a different FL. Will try to watch but FL seems playful for her age and comments are even encouraging me to drop the drama. Don't know which age she is portraying but prefer her characters in other dramas than this one. Hopefully this 3rd quarter has better dramas than the 2nd.

Hi facial expression works on both characters he can be ruthless and also caring. The way he looks at someone like as in acting is superb. In falling into your smile he was biased towards the FL but softened later , his body language said it all. I like his acting I pity him here more than the ML and FL coz I thi that empress is using him and he probably knows it too . He seems to love him more than she cares him.
