Title Bad Buddy
I am reading many comments about Bad buddy being almost equally famous as 2gether the series but not as much and…
OK, I'm probably going to get so much hate-replies from 2Gether fans, but let's just say I never fully understood the hype. I guess it's a matter of preference. To each his own.

To be fair, I loved that show, too.

But not as much as I gushed over 1000 Stars, and gagging over Bad Buddy right now.

2Gether was excellent in its own right. There were bits that I felt could have been improved, but it wasn't so bad. It was strategically filmed (on a production POV) - when there are holes in the plot, pan the camera close to Bright and Win, and it's all good.

Put two ridiculously handsome new faces in a series that defies gender norms, and we're probably going to watch their show over and over.

But as mentioned, 2Gether was released at the peak of Covid-19 lockdowns across the world. School was on hold, people worked from home, some were left jobless (tragic, TBH). We all wanted some sort of refuge before we all get crazy being locked in our homes. So... it was perfect timing to air the show. Luckily millions picked it up, watched and loved it (me included).

Now Bad Buddy seemed like a typical university-love-story. But wait... there's the Romeo and Juliet plot-sub-plot. And not the typical boy-annoyed-by-another-boy-that they-hate-each-other storyline, but more of a feuding family and feuding gangs. This intrigues the audience.

And to add spice to the already tasty plot, what looks like Pran's unrequited love for Pat is not unrequited at all. Both have had pent up feelings, very likely held back by the fact that their parents hate each other. How are they going to navigate their feelings then? Are they going to beat the odds? Is it going to end like Shakespeare? This draws the audience so close to the show until the very last episode, it's so famous now.

Is it as famous as 2Gether?

If we look at the number of views, Bad Buddy is a fair runner up. But it is just as phenomenal.

If we read the comments on this bit, I'd say the reaction of everyone 5 episodes into the show would speak for how popular this has become. And throw in the fact that people have been waiting for a while after 1000 Stars for a new BL series.

The audience's anticipation and curiosity for a new story like Bad Buddy makes it just as famous as 2Gether.

Okay, now I went back and watched some Make It Right clips and later the kiss between Ohm and First in The Shipper.…
He has been very keen on working out for a while now. I doubt there are 'roids involved though.

Oi, my (new) friend. I'm very likely to visit Thailand in 2022. Bit far from now but would be happy to meet up and hang.

Can we host a watch party or something? I have never done it nor do I know how to do it. But up for it, if anyone…
I am up for it. Can we have GMMTV host a watch party with the cast? Say one explosive episode so we can react together with Ohm and Nanon. Who do we contact to make this happen? 😁

Ohm does some of his best works on rooftops. Lol. He did so in "He's Coming to Me" and now here in "Bad Buddies"
Oh god! You're right. That rooftop monologue in HCTM broke me to pieces.

I'd say it is more Max that makes my heart break.

I felt so bad for Korn's unrequited love for Knock in Together With Me 1 right till the end.

He broke my heart when he cheated in the Next Chapter.

His character in Innocence: Bangkok Love Stories also makes me just want to hug him and tell him it's going to be okay.

So I guess the very reason I couldn't carry on watching MoD is that somewhere along the way, his character would just break my heart again.

I'd need to let go of them old characters he played first. The other actors I don't have a problem with. Ohhh, wait. I do. Jimmy and Tommy in Why R U (the Saifah-Zon special episodes)

I know right! Too bad those who watch it on YT will have to wait til January :(
We can't tell how GMMTV works with the airing of their shows on YouTube. But I would wildly guess they didn't want to risk overexposing Nanon. Or probably a contract with Disney - GMM probably sold broadcasting rights to Disney and since it's paid service, Disney should get as much revenue on it first before the rest gets it for free.

I watched Together With Me in January. It has been nearly a year. That had a happy ending but somewhat left me heartbroken (pretty sure not for KornKnock, probably FarmRit and YihwaCho).

I agree with how Knock's charcater suddenly turned out to be a man-child in The Next Chapter. And how it tore me to pieces that Korn gave in and cheated. It was a mistake but boom! A hole right there in my heart.

Although I know MoD is a phenomenal series, I could wait it out.

I think it tremendously helped that Nanon and Ohm are both experienced actors, and that they're actually friends.…
Having gone to drama school in my younger years, I've been told it's really often in the eyes. Well they're not called the windows to our souls for nothing. Lots of the actors can cry but if their eyes cannot speak words, the tears are nothing.

And yeah, 1000 Stars has a thousand stars rating in my heart.

I have only been introduced to BL in January this year. And I have marathon-watched so many of them. But there are a few that really just hit so close to your heart.

I already watched it when it premiered on YouTube earlier. I forgot to insert the word "again" in my comment. :-) It's just so good it deserves a re-run within the same night.

Who's rewatching that rooftop scene again and again?
I am watching the entire episode as soon as I finish my last meeting for tonight. Or I could just ask my boss to cover for me. It's a Friday night anyway. LOL

This is what happens when you put 2 of the greatest, most talented actors and 1 amazingly passionate director…
I think it tremendously helped that Nanon and Ohm are both experienced actors, and that they're actually friends. Their chemistry makes navigating the story and executing what they're directed to do are a lot easier (though it is still a lot of hard work, I guarantee that.)

Take Earth-Mix for example. Although Mix is relatively new to acting, he and Earth have known each other before they filmed 1000 Stars - making it less troublesome for Backaof to get the best out of the two of them (especially Mix). And their onscreen and offscreen chemistry are undeniable.

Same with Ohm-Nanon. They've been friends for a while, they've done a number of shows, so how they get along, topped with their acting experience have delivered us something to really love.

That was well worth the wait (a week for this episode & and ages for this series).

I felt like a silly schoolboy getting giddy over Pat&Pran. And that rooftop closing scene was just.... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!

I literally stopped working when I could have played it back later. Jezuz, this series!

I know this is good just by reading the comments. However, I cant seem to get past EP02.

I'm probably just hung up on Together With Me - it had a happy ending but it just broke my heart.

For weeks, each time I get a glimpse of Max and Tul on insta, I would just have this aching feeling inside my heart. So, as much as I love them two, I couldn't really get past EP02 of this series.

Maybe soon, I'll be able to binge-watch this.
