Poor Daeyop though 😭. Even though his obsession caused so much trouble killing him after he was finally at peace with the situation and became helpful seemed too cruel.

I enjoyed this a lot. I found it to be a nice mix of comedy elements in the earlier episodes, mature romance and political intrigue. I know some people were annoyed because there wasn’t any skinship but this was a mature romance based on mutual respect and understanding not a teenaged crush. I think what we got was fitting. I just wish that we had gotten to see Lee Yi Cheom finally get what he deserved.

End of episode 14 fl does the noble idiot thing and leaves the ml ‘for his own good’ because the sfl tells her that she has no power to help him in his business and is hurting him. It annoys me to death that the fl never actually talks to the ml to see how he feels before leaving him. I had been enjoying the show until that happened but it’s my most hated trope so it spoiled the flow a little for me now. I’m still only on episode 15 though so I can’t say yet how ml finds her again.

Argh! Please tell me they are not doing the noble idiot trope where the fl leaves the ml ‘for his own good’ because someone tells her to, without even talking things through. I hate that trope the most.
Edit: Thankfully they didn’t go that way so I don’t have to throw things at the screen.

I really enjoyed this. Fantasy is one of my favourite genres and this was done well. Great acting and production. I’m torn between wanting a season 2 because I enjoyed the show and not wanting one because I don’t want In Beom to remain a medium for too long due to the purity thing. He’s not a priest and he’s a good looking guy right! Let In Beom have an adult relationship, with Ji Ah would be nice, and he can work with Daebak realty while they get a new younger medium.

For me this is one of the most frustrating FL characters I have seen in a Kdrama. No self confidence at all, full of self pity and letting superstition rule her life for most of the drama. I have one episode left to watch and I hope she will finally grow a backbone. Love the ML though, he is so adorable and tolerant. He saved the show for me and kept me watching.

I have seen every version several times. I just love this story. I am stoked to see this one too. Roll on August.

Is Jasper dubbed please? I find it a bit off putting to watch Taiwanese actors that I like suddenly sounding very different when they do Chinese shows. I quite liked the Korean version though and wouldn’t mind watching this to see how it compares.

Neither. Jang Jae Yeol accidentally stabbed him but it wasn’t fatal. Their mother panicked thinking Jae Bum had killed him and as she fled the house with her sons she tried to cover up the killing by tossing a lighter at some fuel that Jae Bum had spilled. She set fire to the house and her husband who was actually laying unconscious from the stab wound died from smoke inhalation.

8 episodes! Is this adapted from a short story or is another case of Netflix chopping a Kdrama in two, making us wait a year for the second half and calling it ‘seasons 1 & 2’?

Episode 20. Emotional, brutal, EPIC.

Anyone else a little scared to watch the last 2 episodes?
I don’t think my heart can take it if this ends in tragedy so I’m rooting for happy or at least non lethal endings for the main players.

I was glad that the three survived but that murdering B***h Park Hong Ju needs get her comeuppance. No way can I settle for the ending with her becoming party leader. The prophecy said something like if she came to power the World would suffer. Can we have a second season just to give her what for please?

This was very dark and quite gory but I really enjoyed it. The acting was great and the story kept us guessing until the end who the true culprit was. I found the ending to be satisfying enough but I would like to see a season 2. Reason below.
