He won't return until last chapter of webtoon in present time line arc because he's captured in NK nd God knows how he got captured cuz it's never explained basically a wasted character in present time line unless they make a sequel webtoon.

From there on 7 episodes are enough to cover the present time line nd fully adapt nd enhance the webtoon last chapters. Nd webtoon also ends up in a way which indicates a sequel is possible

The present time line will start in ep 14 this will all round up to the scene where bong seok is confronting his mom mihyun that he won't hold back himself anymore nd his mom will further encourage him from there on to fly as high as possible nd soar the skies just like his dad doo shik
