Some c dramas alone have young actors with good skinship with old fls like one recent example is falling into you. Probably the ml isn't that famous so it wasn't an issue there but here in the long ballad I now believe pre popularity did play a big part. One more example with young fl nd old ml would be date with the future I heard it has kiss in almost every episode after they date nd fl is a rising actress so yeah the popularity card didn't affect it also nd one more the forbidden flower had lots of scenes too same thing there fl is new

Well the long ballad original source was also a slow burn rom genre nd unfortunately it went on hiatus due to publishing issues with the publisher nd author so they just had to do with all what was available in the manhua
