there were no characters from ALP in MM, only the names, not the same characters
I am well aware of the difference as technically they came from the same novel universe and the characters were once portrayed there they just change the names (well they did keep jingyuan) and backstory. Im not criticizing them as it's only logical for them to change the bg story as they dont own the rights to other stories. I just think about how big the change of separating them from their past selves is for me, making them two distinct entities with their own consciousness. Now it's not a reincarnation story but mantles/vessels of deity's having separate souls
As someone who came from ALP im kinda sour on how they changed their romantic backstory coz vruh yuemi's unrequited love for me was gut wrenching although i kinda get it because they totally changed the true god's backstory well tbh idrgaf anymore but why oh why would they separate jingyuan and fanyue, baishuo and xingyue?!!! Okay fine i get it okay because if they dont separate them doesnt that mean chongzhao is moli when they have clashing moralssss??? idk but it just feels wrong to finally see their love story blossom after all that heartache in ALP AGHGKFLFJFKLD it's like houchi shanggu and baijue qingmu logic kept one telling me how wrong this is LMAO dont mind me im just seeing this as someone who watched ALP for me it's still a good change when it comes to questioning philosophies of former and current selves. Will continue yapping once i finish the last two eps
i cant even rewatch this because i hated xuanji's voice. i got used to esther yu's but this one is like the bane…
esther's voice grew on me because i saw her in youth with you, she really does speak like that irl. although in lbfad there are times it's exaggerated.

Watched the first episode due to good reviews but nothing caught my interest as I am tired of overused tropes…
People reuse plot tropes and entwine them with other plot tropes all the time. It's like using different ingredients to make the perfect recipe. What drought?? There were plenty of releases such as xianxia and wuxia or cut throat non fantasy politics. If you don't like it, we'll gladly open the door for you 👉🏻🚪

My love hate relationship with this drama. I remember being so invested but after the ending and how lacking the main leads developments are compared to the other leads, i refuse to rewatch this one. I'll just leave it here 😃
Shangjue does not really hate ziyu but more of like disapproval as ziyu has always been a carefree child. Yuanzhi on the other hand just follows around his gege so seeing him pressuring ziyu, he would also do. Plus he genuinely hates ziyu for not being able to hold a candle to his gege who is clearly more fitting to be the sword wielder at the moment. It's just that yuanzhi just doesnt see what shangjue's true intentions were
