actually there are many reviews that are not so rave
i did this too! imo i cant really say this raised bar high up with like every aspect but they definitely are setting the demand for more queer shows in mainstream
One thing for me for sure is that the cps really didn't stick to me like how emotionally attached i am to wangxian, kurosawa & adachi, teh & oh-aew. It may be because of the length that i really didnt have that much time to digest and be that fond of them but one thing for sure is that show as a whole definitely left an impact to me.
1. It being the first mainstream bl, having a well established actor and 50mins 8eps. 2. It's very sexual and provocative, I was gagged every episode 3. Touches on the struggles of a person w/ hiv. Not ony the shame that it carries but it can affect ones future (required medical examinations at work) 4. Friendgroup are gay gays. They are very 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻 and not just for comedic purposes in a shows 5. Promotion is crazy, homophobics be choking themselves 🤣
Id say this wasnt perfect but still kudos to the actors and the people behind this show. May this be stepping stone towards a more open and inclusive media towards the lgbt community in their country
I would say that the first 3/4 was beyond expectations and I loved it. That last arc was a bit sloppy in comparison…
I think it being told later on the story pretty much helps sum up everything on how he handles his relationships. There's still so much stigma and shame for this disease that it became a hindrance for him to fully commit himself to a relationship. That's why when us as viewer get to know it, we'll be like "that's another burden he's carrying, that's he fucked up with his relationships a lot, that's why he dare not to dream of a true love or just even wish to have a future with anyone"
The most realistic BL series i saw so far. Very good series, not for everyone, especially not for someone who…
A realistic bl is definitely a queer/lgbt film. Afterall, bls are usually painted in rose-tinted color, excluding the hard reality of what most of the community is actually experiencing focusing only on ideal romance
Throughout the show GoYoung fell in love with a couple different men, but it never showed him telling anyone that…
yeah i felt like he was too scared to believe that he, as an hiv patient can have a future with anyone. it's really tied down to that circumstance of his
The plot is word for word from the book. The book is formatted the same way. So it may seem off while watching…
is ep 8 not mostly flashbacks? oh perhaps u havent finished. there's plenty of flashbacks, about his ex, ofc his bg story, and there's more to their bangkok trip too
