A typical cliché fluffy highschool web kdrama, but do it with men
This kdrama has every basic element of what a highschool romance drama has. Some execution were kinda wonky, like how the scene transitions, sometimes the way they start just feels very scripted yk. For me the highschool era was bland for me as it came with this damsel in distress trope which one of the most cliché plots out there but their college dating era sold it for me as I needed all those fluffy moments 🤧💖
They are a lovely pair and how is it that taesung is actually much more of a babygirl when he's with haebom 😂 The main conflict is pretty common too in bl dramas (prejudice against lgbt cps) but i think it went well. Haebom stepped up, showing that he is committed to their relationship which taesung actually doubted, thinking that the latter's feelings isn't as strong as his. The promise rings was a good wrap up for the ending 🤧💖 Id like to see more of them

Considering how taichi falls into those happy go lucky golden retriever characters, it's good how mature he is handling things and not freaking out/avoiding it first unlike other bls. Quite refreshing to see
messy cliché chaebol/ceo plot, questionable pairing for me (shouyi x zhenxuan), drunk forcing himself to shuyi (thank god he consented in the end), plot holes in the misunderstanding
hot for the most obv reason, their chemistry was fire although id call out shuyi's unprofessional act of harassing shide. also, id like to commend the execution and acting in episode 3 kissing scene. it felt very raw and heavy as shide cannot hide his emotional turmoil and yearning anymore and how shuyi recognizes it. he keeps on asking him what happened because he wants to understand him. the confusion and overwhelming emotions was well portrayed by YU.
that elevator scenes was illegal and a full on circus 😂😂😂
I think they did pretty okay in some sweet scenes tho, we dont know who exactly to blame behind the scenes. It could be the director, the actors or even their agencies. Nontheless, i still enjoyed their paring and were perfect for their roles. Adachi really gave off that awkward guy and Kurosawa had this very gentle yearning look.
I just rewatched their cute moments and i still cant believe the uncanny resemblance of machida with liu xueyi. He's like literally him, in a different font 😂😂😂 make his chinese nationality to japanese it's perfect 😭 ugh i love this cp so much that although less intimate romances are perfectly fine for me, i actually find it a shame that there's limited skinship.
I love how everyone's losing their mind with that censored kiss scene and i cant help but just laugh it off when I watched it because it reminded me of cherry magic's clownery at the elevator 😂

This was short where it started sweet and as they get older you become a punching bag of reality. I feel like if this is at least two more episodes, the build up towards the ending would've good. I don't seem to have a clear grasp on how they spent the next years after they broke up and how quickly Akira was forgiven. I feel like they needed a long deep talk with lots of cuddle and more crying after that encounter lmao. Def would rewatch 🙆🏻♀️
