It shouldn't be shelved over a pair of earrings for sure π chinese netizens are getting too cray cray
I didn't know about this backstory as I don't follow social media. So I did a little bit of research and , yes, if as you said there's embezzlement especially from disaster relief fund, then her father should be brought to justice. Of course, even if she herself is not involved and is completely clueless about it, given China's cancel culture and reputation based social perception, she will at least face a soft ban or something, which is also justified then I feel. However, from what I understand, this is still speculation predominantly from the netizens. There is no official announcement or investigation result yet, so I will reserve judgement till an official investigation or official announcement is made, and not just based on the rumour mongering of netizens playing as armchair detectives.
I thought she'd have a cuter or sweeter (happier) reaction to being called manman. But she did a fast disappearing smile so that scene didn't land very well for me. I know they were discussing heavier stuff before that but the ML , for whom the stuff was arguably heavier, still managed a cute smile and expression.
I thought she'd have a happier or quietly sweeter reaction to being called Man Man. Hers was lukewarm. The hug was cute though. Cute camera angle. Also Wei Yan's actor is starting to grate a bit. His fumbling and stumbling is starting to look too artificial and contrived. Can't seem to get a handle on his acting.
I just found out she under the agency Dan Lu Culture which is such a small scale agency, I'm honestly surprised…
Same. I also noticed her first in TSP. I think LNF definitely helped. She gained new followers and fans. Plus she also gained a lot of respect from reviewers and professionals in the industry because of her talent and hardwork in shooting alone in front of the green screen. This is the first time a lead in a drama has been replaced using reshoots and technology so I guess that counts for something

She has mostly played leads in small budget web dramas like TSP, UL, ARRTI. Mr. cat is another such small budget drama which is receiving no love from YouKu. She started getting into big budget productions from the Blue Whisper onwards and she started with supporting roles and guest roles. LNF is her first relatively high budget drama as the FL, it was earlier S level but later was termed as A level in its budget. But still it was a reshoot and had a lot of ups and downs so it was not really the best way to break out onto the scene of high budget dramas as the FL. Her next move now will prove to be crucial, she should now take a new project only if she can get the lead in a big budget drama. Doing anything other than that will lead to her taking a major step back and coming back from that would be difficult.
Any idea whatβs her next role? Hope she gets FL role and no more second/third female role. She should be more…
I just found out she under the agency Dan Lu Culture which is such a small scale agency, I'm honestly surprised she is getting any good work at all. It has only 4-5 actors under its banner and honestly, none are as well known or experienced as Hu Yi Xuan. So it's a very small agency with fairly unknown actors and that too only 4 or so. π I hope somehow HYX still makes it through her hardwork and talent
I can see WY progression with falling in love with XQ. Itβs just that his hate for the Qiao family is still…
True. Chasing this drama 2 episodes or 1 episode a day feels like I'm chasing a different drama each day, it's that inconsistent. Like suddenly the FL started smiling at him or when the ML suddenly wanted to see the stars. It is just meandering along the same plot points. I get that they were supposed to be shown as slowly falling in love with each other but the transition to the lovey dovey phase seems jerky and ham handed. Some sweet scenes also need better direction, acting and camera language. Like when they confess their admiration for each other. It's a big thing since the beginning of their relationship was marred with betrayal and revenge. And yet such a meaningful scene fell flat for me because of the drab camera language and blank acting of the FL. I wish the bgm or chemistry would have conveyed the struggle that would have made such a scene meaningful, like they have to confess despite all the problems in their surrounding and they can't help themselves but be attracted to each other. The overall effect was so bland and boring. The dialogues told us what we were supposed to feel but the action didn't enhance that imo .
Have you seen Blossom from 2024? That was very popular in China and overseasWhat about love like the galaxy -…
I have realised that the moment I start thinking and questioning things logically, I start losing interest in many popular dramas. I've heard people raving about LLTG, like POB, and I just couldn't continue after a 1000th time someone called the FL naughty or I'll behaved without any proof about it through scenes or acting. They just kept on telling this over and over, instead of showing it. In POB, the logic is getting laughable and the romance part is not resonating that much with me anymore since it's kind of not superimposing with the characters that they created in the earlier episode. Like the clueless and hesitant WS is not sitting right with me when I first believed him to be clever, intense and being able to read the FL like a book. Hence even when I tried to shut off my brain and just enjoy the romance, ep 19 and 20 kind of bored me on that front too. Maybe binging would have made it better.
Try The Double or airing now, The legend ofzhanghai
I think I will watch NIF someday definitely. As for journey to love, I dropped it when she started asking him for a baby. There was a scene that was definitely giving rapey vibes, I couldn't continue after that π

She will play a character called Zhong Yu, she has something to do Zhang Kang Le's character
