The fact this drama wouldve been masterpiece if he didn't do this personal changes, his obsession with LYL and changing key scenes really killed the all vibe, you can't feel the connection between the scenes, it's like a puting scenes with good cinematography without the storyline.

I think you missed the point everyone is ok with the change due to censprship but some changes are directors choice which is the end and giving screentime to villain and cut from main characters, we know china has a big censorship
