i get that you’re trying to clarify, but your earlier comments came off way harsher than what you’re saying now. you said she had “no shame at all” and acted like she proudly stole recipes, when the show clearly shows it wasn’t that black and white. now you're saying she panicked, tried to be creative, and even warned yeonju all of which prove she wasn't comfortable with what was happening. you’re also drawing this hard line between the brothers and the staff, but that’s ignoring context. the brothers were raised in it, yeah, but the staff worked under that same pressure every day,. fear isn’t any less real just because someone’s older. survival doesn’t make someone greedy. you said they “seemed to know better,” but that doesn’t mean they felt safe enough to act on it. beomwoo's system didn’t reward morality it punished it. that’s what made it so damaging.
so yeah, maybe some of them went along with it longer than they should’ve, but they weren’t villains. they were victims of a toxic system, and when they finally realized what they were a part of, it broke them. that says a lot more about their humanity than your first comment gave them credit for.

That mindset doesn’t disappear overnight, and it's not fair to expect them to instantly see the harm when they were rewarded for following his lead. as for the chef being proud, it wasn’t pride in stealing. It was pride in what she thought she achieved at the time, before the full truth came out. But what matters is that they eventually did realize everything. the guilt hit them hard, especially after Beomwoo's own reckoning. They weren’t shameless !!! they were MISLED. And once they understood the damage, the remorse showed.
Accountability matters, but so does understanding how manipulation and conditioning affect people and how they grow once they break free from it. i only realized that this mindset was from their own mother on how she raised beomwoo and sunwoo
