(This why og is more interesting because later in the drama killing his father whom ml already hates won't be that conflicting for fl. In the webtoon she had to make this difficult choice of trying to kill him again to avenge her parents death but now she's in love with him. ) The webtoon had a happy ending. ML makes his brother the king and lives a normal life with fl. The villain (minister/vassal) dies. There's another couple in the story they also get their happy ending. One more thing his personalities merge with his real personality.

Tbh they didn't need to. In the webtoon too it was convenient to differentiate who is who. Trust me when i say this the original story is really really good. It had everything romance, politics, angst, manipulation, necromancy but the best part of the webtoon was the character development. And there's little to no scope for character development here since they have made the ml a nice, cute person. So yeah...
In the webtoon the real one's personality was really bad like cold, depressed,manipulative (tho he has a character development) so it was easy for the readers to prefer akhee over him but here the personality of the ml is different so can't say that.
