I had to drop it because I read online that the mother was never punished or held accountable for what she did to the female lead. The only “revenge” is her son choosing the female lead over her, and that’s treated like it’s enough. That kind of ending is just too unsatisfying for me. If I'm wrong let me know. Thanks.
It's really good drama overall, but I honestly felt the ending was rushed. Put me through such an emotional roller coaster, and then everything was suddenly wrapped up with the leads reconciling in the final minutes. After everything they went through, it just felt a bit unsatisfying to me. I really wish the writers had given more time to sit with that reconciliation even just thirty more minutes, or one extra episode, would’ve made the ending feel more complete and earned.
"I'm getting off here, please wait for the next one" with conviction and certainty. Lmao I just can't with the SML he self-sabotaged his chances by never speaking up. Like bruh. Say something. Anything. Pls.
Indeed! But hey, what's a fantasy C-Drama without the blood spits right? 😅🤪🤭😁
Lol I asked ChatGPT about it and got this explanation: under Chinese TV and streaming regulations, dramas are restricted from showing graphic internal injuries, realistic organ damage, or medically detailed internal bleeding. Because of that, writers need a visual shorthand to signal that an injury is extremely serious or potentially fatal without actually showing or explaining it. Kinda makes sense.
I DON'T agree that she's substandard you're just hating on her too much. But hell an opinion is an opinion.
I think that’s the difference. Saying “I don’t like her acting” is personal taste and that’s fair. Calling her substandard sounds dismissive, so people are naturally going to react. She started acting young and later spent four years studying her craft, finishing first in her class and winning awards, so that label doesn’t sit well with everyone. Freedom of speech goes both ways — you can share your opinion, and others can agree or disagree and reply. Lets end it here then as you said.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel uncomfortable that the male lead keeps grabbing the female lead’s arm and dragging her wherever he wants in several episodes. Like hello? she's not your gf yet and even if you are, don't ignore boundaries and consent. I get it you're acting "macho" and all but yikes.
