It's because this was filmed in an Islamic country meaning Dubai. That also explains Genie & Iblis. Ga Yeong finds Genie on her trip to Dubai

Listen, the Netflix plot/synopsis makes so much sense as to why the name is chosen, to make it realistic & that the Genie will have his evil ways. The only thing that we are needing to understand is how does Satan become a Genie and that answer will come through by next week hopefully. You just watched a 20 second teaser and are quick to react to it. The main trailer will show you completely how he changed and just please wait for October 3rd to come because all the answers are there. It's a fictional fantasy for a reason. Make your judgement from there.

Wait! I just remembered. Writer Kim Eun Sook gave Kim Woo Bin "Satan" in this drama because it's a reference in The Heirs which Eun Sook also wrote 😯

All I can see is this going in a way that Genie & Ga Yeong will develop feelings but when they do, she finds out.
I think comments will start to switch with positives & negatives when trailer and mainly all the episodes released

One of the first stills released in February, he will have his hair at shoulder length. This is just a wig & extensions. Woo Bin did used to have long hair back in 2019 and I think it makes Genie look unique but I do accept your opinion 😌
