I think everyone forgets that her mother is actually a general from a country that has been at war with her own country for a long time. If her mother is a general who has killed people from her own side, CZ was probably told from childhood that the northern country was responsible for the deaths of innocent people and many other terrible things. So, I think her having a meltdown is quite understandable and normal.
