P’X: Tay and New I and you two have traveled through many different times together, probably in the top ten of people in my life. I used to think that knowing each other too much would be an disadvantage in directing, like I might get too comfortable or things might go unexpectedly. But no, it wasn’t like that at all. The comeback as the director and actors between us this time was incredibly easy. Knowing what you guys are up to as much as you guys also knowing what I’m up to not only brings me great actors, but also cool colleagues as the same team. I was glad to share all the obstacles of this work for you to know and understand, so that we can hold hands tightly and do your best as Karan and Achi. I don't know if the sacred things have helped us or not, but I am happy to go on this Cherry trip with the two of you. I'm glad that what you've been through for the past ten years has helped update “the firmware” for you two to be a better version. Now pls take a good care of each other. I'm always ready to play the role of the Court of Pink Lawsuits.
Junior and Mark This is our first time working as a director and actors of you two and me but it wasn't difficult at all. We gradually learned about each other as colleagues and fellow men without efforts. Thank you Mark for showing the utmost trust from the moment I invited him. I still remember the look of his eye when he said yes to the role of Min. It was like the scene with Toruk and Makto in Avatar so I fully trusted his uttermost since that day. As for Junior, I am glad that your abilities and nature are discovered more. “He killed everything to become Jinta.” Your determination and decision at that time gave me goosebumps. This character was the one that I had felt blank about until the casting day. I know that you have the factor of an actor that directors want to work with and it’s obviously like that. I will always cheer for you two.
Sing and Jan Rock and Pai are characters that I have always clearly seen that they should be Sing and Jan, never have other choice. When working on the script, there wasn't a scene where I can't imagine you two, there was no dialog that I can't read without hearing your voices. You two had already reserved this role since Day One to me. Sing always had the eyes of a good learner. The questions that I usually got about his past work are "Have you seen it yet? What do you think about it? Is it good?" And it is good just as this series. And Jan, I remember her devotion from the first scene, where she was barely able to stand from being infected by two strains of viruses at the same time. But that day "Khun Nang Pai" completely covered "Yai Jan" in every take and every cut. With that opening, I hardly worry about Jan and Pai anymore. For me, Rock and Pai are not the colours of this series, but they are a big positive force that makes this version of Cherry Magic Thailand complete and perfect.
Tay: Thank this series for making the overall atmosphere of life happy during filming and broadcasting. I am able to absorb good energy from the character, the staff who worked with me and the fans who waited to watch together every week. It is a medium of happiness that gives us a space to connect and to do activities together. Even though it was against expectations that it was not broadcast for fans around the world to watch, I think they can see it one day.
Thank you Karan for making me come back to look at myself and see life from various angles. Actually, Karan is not completely opposite to me. I have part of him in me, just that I may not be as outstanding and shining in the light as him and don’t express steadily and show leadership like he did. (And so do romantic side and sweetness). But many of our issues are connected, making made me shed tears for Karan in many takes without caring whether the camera can catch or not. It's like I borrowed his space to express our similar feelings. Karan makes me understand that it's okay to be comfortable with life sometimes and that we can be happy with tangible things at the present besides the ideal success. Don't tie your happiness to the success or needs of others too much. Karan seems to be a person with a perfect life in others’ eyes, in terms of status, abilities, family, life goals, and success. It completely fit the norm. But deep down inside, he may not be able to answer what he really wants in life. It’s like he looks hard and strong on the outside but “porous” all over on the inside. They are the pores of lacking confidence, and longing for true acceptance and people who understand him. That's why he loves Achi so much because Achi come to fill those pores. It's like he is Yang and Achi is yin. And they are really fortunate to have met each other.
Thank you to all the characters who makes the society of this series so good. It's not ideal. There are still some conflicts, but not big, probably because the characters in this story are quite caring and have a level of morality that is likable. It teaches us that most relationship problems can be solved by understanding and communication.
If the characters were really alive, I think I would be close to them, all of them. Love na, everything related to this series. All of the staff, script team, Professor Yu, and thank you to gmmtv for giving me the opportunity to act as Karan. Really love and thank you from Tay Tawan's heart 💙🍒✨
Oh, marriage equality, please pass hurriedly. Karan will be able to organise the wedding again. He probably hasn’t been bored yet, haha.
P'Ex said that the wedding scene was filmed in 2 scenarios:
- (1) Karan’s mom said “Finally, we have marriage equality today on your wedding day”
- (2) What we saw in EP 12
They filmed both scenarios and kept following about the progress of Marriage Equality bill, hoping it will pass before the final EP. Unfortunately they had to use the scenario (2).
