The common speculation is they try to air this on TV and appeal to mainstream K-drama watchers that won't ever touch BL with a 10-footpole

just look at Love in the Big City, that was streaming only and it even received backlash from Korean bigots and had to drop all EPs at once to reduce the negative reception
