I agree with you on this one, alot of bullying going on low-key in the drama
You can hype Chen Feiyu without dragging Reba, seriously. Calling her “just a pretty face” is such a tired, sexist take she’s been proving herself for years while getting picked apart for everything she does. The woman works nonstop, carries projects, and still gets hate for existing pretty. Maybe try using your brain next time before spewing that nonsense.
I love every single actor in this drama and I’m such a big fan of the screenwriter 😭 I’m sooo excited I really think this might be the drama that finally pulls me out of my K-drama slump 🥹
The casting just doesn’t match the characters at all, and it’s crazy because this novel is huge in China. Honestly, the production team deserves the backlash, not the actors. I’m genuinely worried for Meng Ziyi look at what happened to raba she brought in million in buzz for this drama and still got dragged for months. Why do they always have to ruin beloved novel that fans have been begging not to adapt?
OMG, I just finished this show in one night! 😆 I stumbled upon it by accident, and I absolutely loved everything about it. I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good, and I’m surprised so many people might dislike it. The chemistry between the leads was amazing, the acting was top-notch, and the storyline kept me hooked the whole time. It’s been so long since I’ve watched a K-drama, and this one gave me such classic old-K-drama vibes. I also learned so much advice being 22 and still in college, I sometimes feel like I haven’t done anything, but this show really gave me some perspective. It’s warm, emotional, and comforting in such a real way… I think this might actually become my comfort show. 🥺💖
Fugui’s father is honestly a monster — how could he be so cruel to his own son? And what happened to the man his mother once loved? For him to turn into this kind of person, blaming everything on her and saying she wanted him to become that kind of soldier… it’s just heartbreaking. He took his son’s freedom away, stole his childhood, wouldn’t even let him celebrate his own birthday. It makes me so furious every time he says those things.
But Fugui himself? I find him so fascinating. The way he’s grown into someone so calm, mature, and gentle it’s such a sharp contrast to his father. I’m honestly falling in love with him, and with Qingtong too. I love how they both genuinely want the best for each other; there’s something so pure and steady about their connection that just hits so deep. Can’t stop myself giggling to them because they’re so cute HELPP 😭❤️
Omg I’m completely obsessed. He was raised to hate, yet his kindness shines through, and she is the light in his dark world. Their dynamic is so compelling, and the drama is just incredible so far every scene leaves me wanting more.
