One of my favorite scenes (it’s in the trailer too) is during the war when He Simu makes herself invisible and approaches him. He suddenly says ‘Little He,’ which makes her freeze because she thinks he can see her. Then it turns out he was actually looking at a flock of crows. That’s when she realized he’d been suspicious of her from the start she was sooo intrigued by him.

I haven’t watched that show yet, but yeah he’s definitely witty. He’s always teasing and testing her, super flirty, yet also very charismatic and intriguing.

What makes him interesting to me is that he figures out she’s lying about her identity almost immediately and keeps subtly testing her. He’s only 19 in the novel but already very mature and a general whose wish is to reunite the country and keep people safe. At the same time, he has a playful side with her, which makes their dynamic really fun. He’s the type of person who radiates this calm, easy energy, and being around him just makes everything feel lighter and comforting. Just green flag

since this is rumored for late March, I’m praying they don’t change too much from the novel especially the FL & ML dynamic. That was the heart of the story. The ML is one of the most interesting characters I’ve ever read or watched. And He Simu too like this girl literally collects skulls. The way she was fascinated by how perfect Duan Xu’s skull was… she’s actually insane and I love her for it.

Based on the setup, the drama feels more introspective and serious, making a comedy or slapstick approach seem out of place.
