I'm on ep 7 which is very far behind and I'm now binge watchi g till ep 14 but something has been bothering me and its those damnn bullies/girls who won't shut up and leave my girl yingtao alone and I'm only on ep 7. Look, saying “old ≠ mature” is true, but that dont mean casting a 27 year old to play a 17 year old was just random or cant be intentional. Sometimes older actors bring the right emotional depth or presence that younger actors might not have yet. It’s not just about “looking like a high schooler”, its about who can really sell the role. And yeah, sure, theres a trend of older actors playing younger roles, but that dont mean every single time its meaningless or just a lazy choice. Sometimes its deliberate for a reason, even if subtle. That said, honestly, its really not that deep. I dont get why this is that big of an issue. Its just casting. No need to overanalyze or get upset about it.

No problem. Its just i wanted you to know that this is xianxia since its more about immortals and demons and that moatly falls under the xianxia genre while wuxia is more like martail arts but irs more like grounded if that makes swnse. If you want an explanation i can give you one
