Question:I have been holding this off for sometime coz I don’t do ongoing dramas normally and afterwards the…
Up till and including ep12 is epic imo, I think at least for me that arc built my expectations sky high for the rest and then splat they went in the second half.
Can someone help me understand how he was able to wield the sword effortlessly in the last 2-3 episodes even after…
I believe they handwaved it with "By burning my life force, nothing is impossible".
But tbh since Rumu was fighting like he was in Eps 1-17 even without his own sword meridian I don't think in this series not having a sword meridian in any way stops you from using your sword or spiritual energy; maybe just stops you from using it effortlessly/unleashing heaven and earth strikes.
Her big moment is ordering him to murder her and claiming the right to choose the place instead of saying “I…
Yup, but it’s never really clarified why it works in the first place?
I mean aside from cough blood purifying it and that it gives her superpowers, it’s not explained how she’s purifying it at all much less why it needs to be her at all. To make any contribution meaningful they should have explained how it works as well and what’s unique about her love that made the Red Fox lady say it had to be her.
This drama forgets who the main characters after the first arc. I wouldn't mind the poetic ending if they had…
Her big moment is ordering him to murder her and claiming the right to choose the place instead of saying “I can teleport, let’s briefly visit these foxes you don’t know about whose seed this originally was and see if they have a solution.” 🫠 Beautifully acted though, but what the writers were thinking I don’t know 😪
;-; *clutches MLC close to chest* Nothing can top MLC for me but ep12 was indeed epic❣️❣️❣️(Loved…
;-; I'm guilty of loving MLC from scene 1 of Ep1, opening ship battle was so epic for me, and that initial meeting and tea scene between LLH and FBD cracks me up every time XD
At least we have an epic 1-12 to console us, no matter what came after. If I rewatch that will be my happy ending…
They are for beautifully gorgeous visuals but not for believability by that point in the story ;-; But CY acting against himself in that Go match inside his own head was beautiful, and that whole Ep36 fight was so good, I've rewatched it like 3-4 times.
Wait, what is going on? International fans aren't really aware of weibo stuff... Is there a summary? 🙏
I think it is relevant here. It's her work on this show being diminished by haters, so good to have it in the show's page too as a reminder that the script writers are to blame, not the actress, for the changes.
FL's fans are very patient with us CY fans if we go off on tangents solely relating to him. (or they've been patient with me when I have done it.) I feel it's okay for them to worry about their fav too, especially with the bashing she's getting over this show :(
Another thing I really hated about this drama is that they hesitated and failed to kill Rumu's father before things…
agree 200% re. Rumu's dad. I mean, look at what happened to Rumu's corpse.
They could so easily have /actually/ killed Evil Dad 2 either letting Fugui do it or had dragon lady finish him, and then just resurrected him with black hate magic for the 31+ arc if they actually needed it to be him at all, everyone's IQ would have improved so much for not properly monitoring him and thinking he was safely gone if he'd actually died.
This one is not a BL/censored BL, no.It's high as it's good. (Good mix of serious elements & humor, character…
Feel for you, the search for a good show can be rough. Good luck with the hunt!
(Not sure if you’ve already tried it but MDL will let you exclude tags as well from searches, it can help filter out genres or themes you’re not interested in as well!)
Battle of Cheng Yi's characters:Si Feng vs. Qiu ShuiLi Lianhua vs. Li ChenzhouYing Yuan vs. Fu GuiWho would win…
I think no one would win— one or both of every pair is a communication king, they’d start with “why are we fighting at all” and then end up having a civil pot of wine or tea. 😂
is this drama gay in name of bromance ? if not why its rating is so high ?
This one is not a BL/censored BL, no.
It's high as it's good. (Good mix of serious elements & humor, character relationships/growth, mysteries, fight scenes, three very likable & cool main characters.)
(If you're wondering what about it is good enough to be rated so highly, maybe check out a few eps on iQIYI? First few are available free without premium, and it pretty much starts with the same momentum that it goes on with for the whole show. If just idly wondering, then the above is why I think it scores well.)
So did cheng yi refuse to do the whole romantic arc or just the love triangle that got added for no reason? So…
we are all confused what the writers were thinking after 13 (actually post-12 for me— that arc was so good 🤩) but all that’s just random gossip and speculation.
We will never know but given RMP was produced and written by the same guys, it’s more likely it’s just the writers’ or producer’s stylistic preference (to follow the leads a bit at the start, then focus a lot on the side romances, then remember the leads again at the end only to kill most of them.)
I dont get it so is fugui dead or alive in at the end ? And how did the qing tong survive? I thought she will…
Recycling of souls via reincarnation, basically. So everyone does die it’s just death isn’t particularly permanent, QT wasn’t just speaking idly when she said to QC she hoped they’d be siblings in their next life; she fully expects them both to get a next life.
Yup, I mean given everyone else in the plot is obsessed with either love or hate and unable to overcome it, I…
Which makes sense with the Chinese title being Heart of Sword, and the first 13 eps being about Fugui finding his sword heart, and another 6 being about his dad redescovering his own heart of sword, but why they had to randomly side-bar the plot and chuck in 12 eps of QC filler instead of actual character development and world building or giving QT meaningful scenes as a character is anyone’s guess. Writer is to blame indeed 😪
I personally like his ending with his father. Makes me cry a lot, even not much as when all the mask group died.I…
Yup, I mean given everyone else in the plot is obsessed with either love or hate and unable to overcome it, I think they would have lost miserably had that happened but yeah the writers really did QT dirty. At min if they were going to add a seed she didn’t have in canon, make her able to refine it despite not having those powers in canon, and kill her even though she doesn’t die in canon, they should have had her pull the seed out and offer it herself, as opposed to having her order Fugui to murder her at his parents’ pavilion. Writers really did her dirty.
It surprises me that Love in Pavilion is the spin-off/prequel to this and S&B isn't a bad drama it just made…
I think none are spin offs especially — the team making them filmed all 3 series before the first (Red Moon Pact) aired 👀 (Agree the visuals throughout in this are sooo good. The budget clearly didn’t scrimp when it came to costumes and CGI!)
(it’s not bad but post 18 it’s saved by the actors and the costume department and the music, not by the writers or the plot 😂)
But Eps1-12 are good! 🥰

As you say bad writing all around 😂
100% agree to this, LLH is so lovable.

(Loved the Ep5 fight where the LiP music played too.)
