And he could have made a living doing anything in the Western Regions, but what he chose to do was make lanterns, since that's what they did together, painting the patterns they learned together back then ;-; They warm each other's lives and illuminate the darkness in each other's lives like the sun, and each of them is longing for the other ;-;
I guess there are multiple leads in this show, because I feel like the secondary characters started to take over…

Some hater bought a hot search, and since there's nothing really in this show to attack (aside from the annoyingness of some villains) they decided to attack the screen time, since it happens to be lower these last two eps to allow for some side character development + development of the plot and female lead that don't happen to involve his character? That's what I'd conclude, anyway, from what you've described. There's no way this one's half finished with the level of GCI and HD-ness in the scenes in it.
Right? There are about a gazillion death flags on them both ;-;
I rewatched the trailer, I think he's the guy leaping at blond Fugui with the brolly of power in the desert, till we get that scene that rotter won't die ;-;
I gotta say, Fugui said it for me with these two eps: "I'd prefer not to be involved with this mess." After which he very sensibly went off to not be involved in that courting attempt and go read in the library, which I fully approve of and love for him, except that it deprived me of his screentime ;-;

Hope clinger-bro dies soon or gets turned back to a spider. he is the worssssst. Up there with Rumu's dad who's also the worst, and shoulda died eons back. Honestly if he wasn't going to be murdered he shoulda just been properly monitored and/or left in the courtyard sweeping leaves. (But why didn't dragon lady murder him? She was gonna kill Fugui for a spiritual tendon, she has no issues with casual murder, so why /not/ kill the guy who tortured her mom to death and tricked her when she knows he's a total liar?? He even asked her to nicely, she coulda said "sure.")
Future predictions: - Qingtong finds Fugui. (I need them to be together. Srry Rumu and Fox prince, but she is charming.) - The umbrella that absorbs hate will be found. It will work by depriving those who draw their hate power of their hate power, while imbuing hate power into the user, which would normally instantly corrupt them but not self-purifying Fugui, so Fugui can use it as a rechargeable battery against hate-fueled enemies and then not only use the power (going amazing and blond) but purify himself after with his blood, thus guaranteeing he can follow his Way and have cool blond hair without being evil. (I do not want evil Fugui ;-;) -Fugui will get some more screentime, I'll be satisfied with point 3, be nice to me writers, pls.
