I wonder if the dad could be more sinister than I originally placed him as? He seems really nice, but that “don’t worry if you break to pieces, you’ll just be reforged into someone new” reads a tad ominous when it’s just been revealed you literally can continue the quest in someone else’s body if you select that option 👀👀 (my paranoia is acting up 😂😂😂)

Yeah I don’t think he knows what XQS looks like, just that him knowing what LZC (*oops, LCZ) looks like doesn’t necessarily make him Power Gang 👀

he’s just adapting it, kinda like Peter Jackson adapting The Hobbit. He’s not the original author and didn’t read it that closely when adapting.

He should know yes as he fought Crazy Yan at the same battle (all the 15 elders there in that battle should know 👀)

The “main quest” was one way of completing the game, while becoming sect leader was another way of unlocking the option to complete the game; he completed path 2 which unlocked the option of not needing to complete path 1 as XQS— though with it still saying “complete the main quest as a different character” it sounds like the System is keen for its main quest to still be there playing out either way. Mission 3 will almost definitely happen 👀

The real question is whether having knocked back the option to quit, the quest will resume 👀 I don’t think he in any way shut down the system becoming sect leader, just got the option basically to quit the game/character 👀

He gets to skip all quests and take the story in his own direction once he qualifies as sect leader iirc so it overrides the main plot line I believe (two optional ways to finish the main quest of the game)

LSF is too charismatic to hold a grudge against him once he shows a smidgeon of remorse; but for me the main difference between their revenge arcs atm is probably that XQS is targeting the people who Did Bad Things and are still doing Bad Things while not harming those not involved, while LSF casually murders people like the original Fang or breaks limbs of the cringe 4 squad just because it’s convenient, so it’s just he comes across more hypocritical in his revenge arc for now since he’s doing to others what he’s bitter about others doing to him, and considers everyone a fair target except the people he cares about😅

Your wish is granted, they are there but mostly minimal 🤣 LSF.exe is currently computing the conundrum of how he’ll do anything to please his boss but his boss would be pleased if he actually wasn’t that obedient, it remains to be seen how he’ll sort it out 😂

tbf it is a creepy system I wouldn’t be conversing with it longer than I could help either 😭 I’m sure it’s the kind of system that would punt him into one of the options if it told him.

So suspicious though!! Why so invested into why our QS gets to be sect leader? Why advocate a third son taking the leader position without worrying about how it will impact the family dynamic or even bringing it up verbally? I mean yes 💯 agree but at the same time he was hugging him like a dad, which he would be if he was OG author and this is his protag he created so that’s my conspiracy theory for now. 👀
