From my watching chinese and Korean drama.
There is regular plot where FL and SML childhood lover /best friends type.(most of time due to certain circumstances SML become evil).

At persent, FL and ML More like lover/ married plot, (by knowing that Main leads relationship, SML always try to middle them)

FL(always faithful to ML)and draw the line and SML eventually leave FL.
