Yes the emperor unlock his memories of past life. I think Yan Yue just pretending to kill Wei Zhi to awaken Wei Zhi power and make Wei Zhi hate him so Wei Zhi can be free from the Formula. If Yan Yue really want to kill Wei Zhi, Wei Zhi will already be dead. I think Yan Yue bring Hua Rong to convince heaven emperor that Wei Zhi was already dead. So heaven emperor won't pursue Phoenix again.

Personally, I think this is different from TTEOTM. I just have different vibe and feeling. But there is a time when the ML and FL become demons. I just don't know how they will make it in the series. I doubt Xianxia will end in sad ending, especially when the target audience is female teenager or young adult.

I like Fiction Guo hairstyle in this drama and also in Evil and Good. He is quite lucky to have good hairstylist. Usually in historical drama, man have bad hairstyle.
