In my version both will arrive as adults and live happily ever after.

Ok so here is what I will do I will modify the ending to suit my taste in my memory so I can continue living peacefully.

I will just imagine Nongying didn't die.
I do this everytime something like this happens I just modify it for my memory and continue living in peace.

Its a happy ending for everyone else.
So if you wanna watch a light rom com with happy ending this is for you.
