I'm not sure about Mr Xu. He is suspicious and dangerous, but I don't think that he is Monsieur. How could he be friends with Wen Jie's father if he was Monsieur? In the new trailer Wen Jie saw a guy with a cane like Monsieur and he was younger.

Because Huang Chao is not a bad man, he wants the throne but he wouldn't agree to killing so many people, when he can take over the World with honor. YWY was told that only way to break his family curse was to control the World and the Token, so he probably wants to control HC, if he can.

Death of the Lanxi's mother - I don't think it was Yu Wuyuan. He was too young back then, he didn't even know about his ancestors history and their scheming. He can't live past 30, so it was probably his sister/that woman who told him the truth? Or someone else from his family.

I think he already knows, but pretends not to. When they're talking with Hua Chunran about living in the outside world, she told them that she couldn't do that and Lanxi was watching Xiyun, so I think he knows.
