I mean yeah, if you’re obviously not into the religious Thai dramas.. you won’t like this one but just reading…
I did know but everyone else loved it so much I figured I'd give it a try. It's also why I won't rate it because it's not fair to rate something because you go in knowing it's not your type of show.

Lol I just started the 1st ep and omg them speaking English is sending me especially that one dude who keeps saying…
There a number of fluent English speakers in the cast of TNP but none of them have English speaking roles. Ohm (Paytai), Kris (Ava), Nhing (the King) and Bie (Rachata) all speak fluent English. Ohm and Kris learned at international schools. In fact Kris didn't speak fluent Thai when she started playing Ava. Nhing got his Master's in Australia and also was a flight attendant on international routes earlier in his career. He speaks several languages fluently. And Bie is biracial Thai and English and grew up in a bilingual family. Oh, Lissa Wonson who had a guest role Samantha in episode 1 is Thai- Australian and also speaks fluent English, but she did speak English in the series.

Y'all when is this releasing?? I wanna see my babies on screen with full of joy!! ❤️
Probably going to be a while because they have to recast Jimmy's part. DMD lets actors pick their own partner and Ohm needs time to consider who his new partner will be.

BTW, I won't be rating the show. I don't feel it's fair to rate something when you already knew you didn't like the subject matter.

You're probably right. I put off watching it for a long time because it was an unappealing plot for me but I heard so many great things about Namping and Keng that I wanted to give it a shot.

Hopefully they'll be in something else that's more mainstream.

It's not anything to do with them as a couple. When Zee and NuNew did After Sundown I hated that too but at least it was only a movie and 2 hours of my time.

I didn't even bother with Zomvivor.

I'm having trouble even making it through the first episode. All the chanting and boring crap. I don't understand how people like this drama. Does it get any better because I can't take too much more of this.

You are a biased ZNN fan. Newnew didn’t really improve and Zee are not talented. Of course it’s gonna be a…
All I got from your post is that you are deaf and blind without any musical training. And JamesSu is still part of DMD, he's just not in a paired BL couple anymore.

My years of opera training tell me that NuNew has an exceptional, versatile, one in a million voice. He also has perfect pitch which most people wouldn't notice if they weren't trained singers.

Probably .. by the end of 2026 or 2027
They haven't even started filming Hug E-Lhee. I wouldn't expect it to be finished before sometime in 2027.

"be trash again"? ZeeNunew series are always good bro
I'm not 100% supportive of a project no matter what it is. Don't even know where you came up with all this psychobabble. You're entitled to your opinion and that's about it.

The audience for BL is overwhelmingly women. It doesn't matter what production company.

And your opinion on the quality of any show, production company, or actor is just that . . . Your opinion.

You don't get to be the ultimate authority on the quality of one production versus another. And in the end, I would trust the overall viewership and the opinion of those that win awards for quality production more than yours. 🤷🏼‍♀️

No. It means that people want to watch their dramas and go to their concerts.

Even the most dedicated fan club can't produce a half a billion views for a drama. Can't make them win multiple awards.

And Hug E-Lhee will be featuring what NuNew does best . . . Sing.

DMD wouldn't be what it is without Zeenunew.

Ratings on MDL I mean nothing. Cutie Pie is one of the most viewed BLs of all time with a half a billion views just on YouTube. Not sure how many on IQIYI.

It also won many many awards as has TNP, including several best BL of the year awards.

I was really looking forward to this series. But by Episode 3, I actually wanted to stop watching. It's a shame…
The first three episodes are a clusterfuck. I almost gave up on it myself. It improves in later episodes although some of the juvenile behavior continues. The highlight to me is the chemistry between Duang and Qin, and the contrast between Duang's obvious happy upbringing and Qin's tortured past which is peeled open layer by layer over the rest of the series.

Usually I'm not a big fan of NC scenes. I find them boring, but the first one between Duang and Qin got me, Qin opening up physically while still showing signs of emotional trauma.

After all that good work I found the final episode a bit of a letdown, but the character development from episodes 4 to 11 was excellent.

I thought it was a worthwhile watch although not perfect.

In case you want to keep watching it I won't say anything more.

Middleman's Love was unwatchable. This is OK if you can find it anywhere.
It's country restricted on IQIYI. Not available in the US where I live unless you use VPN and set it to Thailand.

I saw Episodes 1 and 2 on You tube....now Eps 3 is nowhere to be found?
You'll need a subscription to IQIYI for the rest of them. The series is in progress, but only the first five episodes plus the special BTS stuff is on there right now. Mandee usually puts the first couple of episodes on YouTube to entice you to get a subscription. Or alternatively they'll run the whole thing on YouTube but in such an abbreviated form that you can barely understand what's going on.

I put it on my watch list, I very rarely watch dramas until all the episodes have dropped.

Not rare at all. Cutie Pie and TNP have won all sorts of awards, and Cutie Pie is one of the most watched bl's…
You certainly are. Now that I finished it I will be writing a more complete review. It had its good points but 18-year-olds acting like they are in grammar School is extremely cringey and the first few episodes were nothing but that, and there was also a significant amount of it in the last episode.

The music was relatively horrific. Not that TeeTee and Por are bad singers, but they're just okay and the engineering on the soundtracks was dreadful.

I'm very picky about music in dramas when the people in them aren't trained singers. You don't see Max singing in his dramas. If you're NuNew by all means sing. And I mean please do sing.

There were a lot of good parts, the chemistry between Duang and Qin. A pretty good representation of what a human being can look like when they've been raised in trauma, and what healing from it can look like even though it was very abbreviated.

I'll get into more once I've had a chance to think about it.

came back here to ventI saw a clip on insta and I felt so raged again Still not over how Qin’s parents treated…
Qin's parents probably shouldn't have had children. They weren't mean spirited, they just thought that being good parents required them becoming wealthy to be able to give their kid all the material things they thought he needed, and left raising the kid up to an abusive babysitter.

These folks didn't understand that he was going to remember being beaten and abused by the babysitter as a toddler, and thought he would be better off if they never talked about it again. So they get really bad points for being clueless human beings.

If you notice Qin is an only child.

I actually give the writer's credit for dealing with healing from childhood trauma at all. They hit upon the essential elements of healing but compressed it way beyond what would happen in real life.

Maybe they gave up after the first episode which was pretty unwatchable. If it didn't have such a high rating…
I don't even rate shows if I haven't watched the whole thing. I'm now on episode 6 of the series and it is improving. The first few episodes were more like the interactions between kids having childhood crushes in grade school.
