Some of the things JTBC said is misinformation:

1- “A spy leads the democratization movement.”
-Does not happen in any of the 16 episodes.

2- “A spy disguises himself as a student activist and infiltrates the movement.”
-Does not happen in any of the 16 episodes.

3- “It is a love story between an activist college student and a spy.”
-The female lead(Youngro) is not an activist student.

4-“History was distorted by associating espionage with the democratization movement” (May 18, June Uprising, etc.).
- It was not produced against the background of the democratization movement, and it is not a historical document dealing with the democratization movement.

5- “The cathedral was used as a meeting place for spies ‘Myeongdong Cathedral’, which has a history of democratization movement.

- The location of the confession scene in episode 4 of 'Seolganghwa' was not filmed at Myeongdong Cathedral

- The spy went undercover to intimidate an influential figure in the South (Professor Han Yi-seop), and it was not a 'tangent' agreed upon by both sides. - The professor visited for confession. Revealed by the lines "It has been a month since I confessed" - 'Scene where Lim Su-ho summons Han Yi-seop to confession' or 'place of contact' is clearly false.

6- The statement “You must protect their life” is a beautification of the Ministry of National Security.
- A line that was said after the sudden action of an employee of the NSA trying to save her former lover in a hostage situation. These lines were said by the head of the NSA to try and hide his concern for his daughter Youngro.

7- “A drama produced with Chinese Capital.”
-This is misinformation because Tencent invested 100 billion won in JTBC Studios on Dec 29, 2020. This is after the the script production was completed and filming began. (Casting June 2020, script reading October 15, 2020, first filming Nov 2, 2020)

8- “The scene with Mahjong was added because of the Chinese capital.”
-Mahjong was introduced and spread to Korea through Japan during the Joseon Dynasty. In the 1980, there were classes that enjoyed Mahjong such as legal and political circles.

9- “The name Seolganghwa is a Chinese name.”
This is false. It is written in Korean and it comes from the plant with the same name.

They also added “Please refrain from the excessive amount of personal attacks on the production team and cast members.”

JTBC just announced that they will be taking legal action!! Finally

JTBC is going to rerun episode 5 on Saturday at 4:20pm kst and then air episode 6 at 10:30pm kst. Same thing will be done on Sunday, episode 6 rerun at 4:20pm kst and episode 7 at 10:30 pm kst. This is awesome because a lot of Korean people were asking for the reruns on Naver.

“Female lead kept smiting even after finding out who he is”??? Are we watching the same drama? Because after she found out who he is on ep 5 she has been hating him, which is also very obvious on the preview for ep 6.

Look up the ratings, the week before it had over 13% and then it dropped to 12%. For snowdrop it was inevitable because they released 3 episodes, and now on the last one it started to go up again

For Christmas eve red sleeve had a drop in ratings, it increased the following day.

It was to be expected because this episode was unplanned plus Christmas eve. All the other dramas had a drop in ratings too so it’s okay.

No, what I’m trying to say is that he is a spy working with South Korea but the government will make it seem like he is working for North Korea instead, so a fake North Korean spy.

I think he is a fake North Korean spy. Which means he is most likely being used by the South Korean government.

I’m really so proud of Jisoo, her acting gets better after each episode. You can tell she’s working hard and it’s taking all the advices from her fellow cast member and director really well.

JTBC is going to release THREE episodes this week to resolve some of the misunderstandings. It’s kind of sad that they have to hurry up with the release because people don’t want to let the story unfold at its on pace, but I guess this is the way to go if they want to do it quickly.
