I like this drama. Not the best , but not worst either. This drama teaches us about "never give up" with any difficulties you get in your life even your life got hot at rock bottom. No matter what's your job before, don't be ashamed to start again ..any job as long as it's legal job, then why not?
I know most of ppl dislike it because of the age gap. But this is the drama is about. About the romance between younger woman and older man. But it's still normal for me. The diff is still around 10-15 years old. I won't like it if the man is already like grandpa, for example the man is 60-80 years old and the woman is like 20-30 years old. As long as the drama is about romance about the different ages , I have no problem about it. What i will do , I won't watch it and ofc I won't complain about it too.
But what i don't like is, IF the drama is not about age gap romance..but then they choose the actors that have soooo different ages and one of them actually can act as their father or mother..but they are couple in the drama as ML and FL, then I usually will comment about it.

Reading the synopsis , I don't like the plot..is like there is no other girl that Cheng Xu can fall in love. This is like the "villain" wins the throne, the woman and they both got the kid together. The winner is really takes it all.. The only thing that make me curious is..I want to see Zhang Qi Ling in historical costume drama :D Cheng Yi must be so handsome..just like when he play as Zhang Qi Ling..cold and badass...
The girl is like a second hand girl -.- Why can Cheng Xu got a new girl instead a second hand although they were a couple before..
I like more if the girl run away or do anything to avoid the marriage instead just accept the fate.
I don't think it will effect Zheng Ye Cheng since he had given his best performance as General Xue Yao in this…

Yeah I hope that won't effect his career. He is a very good and talented actors... He take his roles very seriously and all ended well. I want to see him more as ML..he is very beautiful specially in Love of Thousand years. I think all partner he played with , always have good chemistry with him..even Vin Zhang as KO. =D

But i heard they cut the ending ( When I am writing this I haven't watched to the end) ....idk why the heck they do that..It can make the rating drop and it can affect ZYC. ZYC is very good and fit to play in History/Wuxia/XianXia/XuanHuan drama..but not the half bald era [ - . - ]
They make the ending like "The Untamed". It's light story but I can give a plus here is how the director , producer make this not a cheap production. The costume although it's a light drama, still majestic ..specially the king, princes and all the official costume. They are beautiful. Even the costume Sin Yi wear as a male are really nice. I also love the hair crown /hairpin... Unfortunately, this is during the dynasty when they have ti put up all your hair... I like more when teh male can let their back hair down...

The funny fact of this drama, almost half of the actors are from The Untamed lol, mybe becaus e the Director is one od The Untamed Directors. And If you notice, some of the design like teh classroom of JunWu reminds you like the classroom fo GuSu . There is also mask that looks like teh mask that Wei Ying use to scare Lan Zhan ( blue mask with red nose) ..This drama is really good in the begining..but crashed on landing....Just hope they make the Season 2.
