Yes, I’m not like I used to be, watching every drama just because it stars actors I like. Now I’ve changed—even if my favorite actors are in a drama, if it doesn’t interest me, I won’t watch it. And if I happen to watch it, I speed it up—3x on my phone or 16x on my laptop—just to finish it quickly, because it’s too painful and boring. However, I think this drama deserves a better rating. Even though the ending is tragic and almost all the main characters die, the drama as a whole is excellent.

I've been following it for a long time. The IMDb rating is only 5.3/10. I prefer keeping track of the rating on MyDramaList, so I hope the rating for this drama there can go even higher than its current 7.9/10

Can the rating keep going up??

This drama deserves at least an 8.5 rating—it is truly one of the best dramas of the year. It’s rare to find a wuxia drama that genuinely focuses on the martial arts world without relying too heavily on fantasy-like effects. In recent years, most martial arts dramas have leaned more toward the Xianxia and Xuanhuan genres, where CGI dominates almost the entire storyline.

I really hope the rating for this drama continues to rise, and I also wish that future Chinese dramas will follow this path—similar to The Journey of Legend, Mysterious Lotus Casebook, Joy of Life (Seasons 1 & 2), Heavenly Sword Dragon Slaying Sabre (2019), Love Better than Immortality, Handsome Siblings, Listening Snow Tower, Legend of Fei, Word of Honor, The Long Ballad, Sword Snow Stride, Who Rules the World, Heroes (2020), and My Journey to You.
