Exactly, that’s what I meant. I haven’t watched it, so I don’t really know which parts used AI. I only heard about it through social media like Instagram and MyDramaList. This morning, I even saw on Instagram that the opening and ending had already been replaced with non-AI versions. People also said that the airplane scene looked weird.
I already have too many dramas on my list (Mr. Kill 🇹🇭, Spooky in Love 🇰🇷, Key to the Phoenix Heart 🇨🇳, and Blossoms of Power 🇨🇳), so I haven’t had time for this one. Li Hong Yi’s new drama (Zhao Yang Gong Zhu) is also coming out tomorrow
Guys, I need your opinion. Should I watch Overdo or just skip it?
To be honest, I'm usually not into Republic-era Chinese dramas unless they have fantasy, thriller, or action elements. Some of my favorites are Archives: The Nanyang Mystery, Eagles and Youngster, Prodigy Healer, My Roommate Is a Detective, Psych-Hunter, Twelve Legends, Lost in the Kunlun Mountains, and Vengeance of the Mountain God.
The only reason I'm considering Overdo is because Zhang Ling He is in it :). That said, I've been seeing a lot of criticism on social media and even here on MyDramaList, especially about the use of AI and the overall production quality.
So, for those of you who've already watched it, would you recommend it? Is it worth giving a chance, or should I skip it? I haven't started it yet, so I'd really appreciate your thoughts.
