Perth was the ML with Saint as his love interest. They both did a great job. I obviously didn't see that interview you're referring to but I highly doubt he would act in a BL just to be famous if he wasn't comfortable doing it. BL in Thailand is a genre on its own and has its own audience. I don't think it's necessary to act in BL in order to become famous. what matters is good looks and having a talent. that's the case in Drama series in any other nation I believe.
